Hah! I can do any type of graphics on my PC, any type of rendering - and I can do it faster and better than any Mac ever did. It's a myth that Mac's are better at graphics and art rendering, it's just marketing fluff.

We also do Video and Graphics but we use PC. We did have Macs here but the cost of updating was about twice that of the PC alternative. The only draw back so far was when we aquired the Sony HDCAM EX, which has really odd output files that won't run on most Video editing suites. With some messing about it will run on Final Cut but not on Avid Xpress. We had to upgrade to Media Composer, which wasn't cheap.

You could look at ATLabs but I would think if you doing Video editing on a Mac (Final Cut - I guess is what your using) you would be hard put to run that on a Thin Client. I use Composer with twin screens on a dedicated high end PC.

We have a number of Macs currently for the video and graphical manipulation because they are pretty much the best. Are there any thin clients or applications that would work as a good replacement? We're looking at 20-40 machines currently.
