EGADS! Tomorrow, India is unveiling a $10 laptop! Apparently it's been in the works for about 3 years. How could you possibly build a laptop for $10?????:rolleyes:

I don't know but if it makes it over here, I'll pick up one for everyone on my Christmas list. Don't see that ever happening though. Even if the companies could do it, they wouldn't.

That sounds too good to be true. And you know what they say, when something's too good to be true, it probably isn't true. I'll believe it when I see it.

If this is true I'll buy ten, ha ha ha. Unfortunately, I don't believe that to be the case. It's impossible to make hardware with only $10, I think the materials are more expensive than that.

HAHAHA I just read a follow up article to the $10 laptop. Get this. And I quote: "There's a reason that India's $10 Sakshat computer is just $10. It does almost nothing. What we thought would be a humming notebook equipped with Wi-Fi and 2GB RAM turns out to be little more than a box with sockets -- no keyboard, no monitor."
How funny is that???? I would say it's a $10 box!

Yeah I would imagine similar-there are the super cheap $100 machines, but that is as cheap as it will ever get I'm afraid. The hardware is simply too expensive otherwise.
