Topic: Limitations of virtualization

What are the main limitations of virtualization, in your opinion? For me, it would be the dependence on the server (if something happens to the server, can't use the thin clients), the lack of control over the client end hardware and software and the hardware specs of the thin clients. How about you?

If something happens to your desktop hard drive your in just as much trouble - If your running virtualization on your server your no doubt set up with some kind of redundancy. There is no reason why you can't use  a mixture of technologies, in which case there is no downside.

Re: Limitations of virtualization

Yes, whilst this is true there is always the chance that if a desktop goes down you can go to another desktop. But then like you say there really should be redundancies built in so that no server could ever bring the network down.
