Topic: What's the difference between ESXi and Server?
I have read that both seem to do the same thing. I want to test running 2 servers on the same machine but the instructions are confusing.

VMware server runs inside the OS allowing you to create VMs in your current OS. ESXi runs on the hardware as the bootable OS. Its on ESXi that you install your VMs.
